Crowds of Tal people gathered last week from Wednesday to Saturday contributing words and phrases towards the building of the first ever Tal dictionary, using a Rapid Word Collection method.
Tal is spoken by people in the south of Plateau state in Nigeria and is just starting to be written. A Bible translation project is also starting and the translation team see the dictionary as an opportunity to standardise the language and for everyone to increase their knowledge of the Tal language.
